Nicole Flowers
Nicole Green is a fun loving high energy person who has been instrumental in the rebranding of 3rd Eye FC. At times, one wold think that she is a squad player though she is clearly on the team being fully on board and immersed in all things 3rd Eye FC.
At training and in games she can be seen careening down the sidelines camera and stabilizer in hand while the players she films are gasping for breath. All this while smiling from ear to ear, as if the sprints weren’t at taxing. But this is the nature of the lady. With a gentle servant-like heart and a panache for creativity and capturing the ideal shot, Nicole has been the signing of the season.
Childhood
Nicole draws strength from her past experiences where others may find those tough episodes a hindrance. Unfavorable socioeconomic circumstances in her childhood serve as opportunities for growth that have transcended into her career as life coach.
The reiki practitioner in Nicole has seen a life of healing after having tough life experiences. Her outlet in those years were running. Though she was athletic as a child, she was not as sports inclined as her brother who took to baseball.
Her passion for soccer developed around the age of 11 years old, so much so that she was happy to walk 5 miles just to get to practices.
Sports was an outlet in rough times
Later in Life
While her early years were sprinkled with organized soccer, Bristol High School sophomore years and Rec Soccer at 11, Nicole came back to her first love at 35 years old playing Coed soccer.
It (soccer) never leaves the soul.
There were times when life’s challenges bore down on her so much so that she was 80lbs overweight. Experiencing a paradigm shift, Nicole got involved in a Boot Camp and also found weight lifting and was heavily involved.
Hidden Talents/Hobbies
Poetry and woodwind instruments are areas of interest for Nicole. Though she doesn’t spend much time playing the flute, trumpet and French horn, they are an area of fascination for her. What she does lend her time to however is poetry.
Favorite Food
Chinese Food- General Tso, Tofu, Indian Curry and Cheese Cake
Music
Though her taste in music is ecclectic, Nicole singled out Black Violin and Classical Hip Hop as her go to. She was sure to remind us that her inclinations are relative to her mood at any given point.
Favorite Quote
Live for today, dream of tomorrow, learn from yesterday
Nicole is constantly reminded of the quote as it is etched in her fondest memories with her grandparents. The quote was on their wall and has continued to inspire her to this day.
Set Backs
I don’t view things as setbacks as I have a view that our perspective is focused on learning from our experiences, we will be ok.
Most Memorable Soccer Moment
TST resonates as it was a really big event but Shaun coached a team where I motivated a kid to do something he didn’t think was possible. The team was FC Valley U18’s in Bristol Connecticut. I told the kid he was going to score that day. After I motivated him and that kid scored.
Soul Mates
Shaun and Nicole can be seen via social media traveling the world, enjoying unique locations and changing lives. Where did it all begin?
He is my soul mate. I prayed for him. He is my everything. We met at a gas station on route 6 in Bristol Connecticut. We were in line and someone mentioned his accent and he relied Newcastle. I chimed in ‘great beer’. I had no idea who he was but the rest is history.
Both Shaun and Nicole share a unique bond. As they serve each other, their capacity to serve others is strengthened. We at 3rd Eye FC have experienced this strength of love and service and have grown through their service and union. We are grateful to have Nicole on board and she continues to shape the image of the club.
