Jokota Kroos- Maestro; the adaptable one!
République Togolaise, Togo, is a country in Africa bordered by Ghana to the west, Benin to the east and Burkina Faso to the north. The country is considered to be developing and yawns further south into the Gulf of Guinea where it’s capital, Lomé, stands proud. From the pride of Togo’s capital comes Jokota Kroos, a diminutive but confident football player.
Of the 8 million people in the land, his parents collided and birthed a future star. African countries despite their rapid growth still face socioeconomic conditions that are less than favorable. These conditions never phased Jokota as he continued to dream.
Travail, Liberté, Patrie
Jokota’s early years were fraught with dreams of becoming a professional footballer. A tug of war ensued between Jokota’s parents where his mother leaned towards his academic career and his father had bets on him enjoying a fruitful football career.
It seemed that fate would have a say as the young Togolese was always on the radar of teams as far and wide as Dubai with his home club rejecting every transfer offer that was tabled. Though Jokota played semi- professionally he still managed to make room for his academic career.

Most Memorable Soccer Moment
I won a few tournaments here and back home and here too.
Losing 1 nil with 10 minutes to go, the stage was set for an epic comeback. Viva FC was leading a game they were sure they would win. This was a game at the semi- professional level and Viva FC were renowned champions with an expecting audience counting the win all but a formality. In a whirlwind 10 minutes, Jokota’s Zamzam FC came back with two goals and look home all the silverware.

Foo foo is a pounded meal found in West African cuisine. It is a Twi word that originates from the Akans in Ghana. The word, however, has been expanded to include several variations of the pounded meal found in other African countries.

An Adaptable Man
The conditions in his home country taught him how to adapt and grow. Though a big fan of Toni Kroos, a player whose style he emulates, Jokota is not shy to ply his trade at full back or center back. The balanced midfielder now studies at University of Amherst in Massachusetts, USA. His choice of study lies in the field of mechanical engineering.
I love manual jobs, I love to make things. I do not like working in offices.
Though disappointments have come along the way, Jokota still sees himself as a player who can vie for championships at the highest level. Though contract offers have come and gone, Jokota, our tri-lingual maestro, has his sights squarely set on helping 3rd Eye FC bag a UPSL title.
