I listen to a lot of music, I’ll have to come back to that one.
At four years old when Dwayne starting playing soccer, playing for CCSU couldn’t have been further from his mind. Dwayne represents 3rd Eye FC both on and off the field. Aspiring to grow as a coach and personal trainer Dwayne has pursued growth opportunities when they arise. Having decided to pursue a professional career in soccer, with hard work and belief many opportunities have come his way. Dwayne featured in an Adidas futsal tournament in 2019, narrowly missing out on an opportunity to play in brazil.

Most memorable soccer moment
“Because of my circumstances, Just having the opportunity to play college soccer is enough for me. That experience showed me that I had the quantities needed to become a professional player.”
What does leadership mean to you?
“Being a good listener, being able to direct and guide..”
What motivates you?
“The prospects of my future self. I want to be an inspiration for kids. That’s also one reason why want to become a professional player and to coach. If I were playing at the highest level I would want to learn from Pep Guardiola, though I don’t think he’ll end up at Everton, a club I’d like to play for. I also like Mourinho’s defensive style. I think players should have structure to their play and know where to be.”
Dwayne is a talismanic figure in 3rd Eye FC’s defense line, a vocal leader who demands the best from himself, his teammates, and opponents. Dwayne is a believer in God and aspires to have a deepened relationship with God to match his belief. Dwayne is consciously cool. 3rd Eye FC wishes Dwayne Marshall the best in his pursuits.
The Kings heart is in the hand of the Lord, The the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. Proverbs 21:1
Written by Shane Sinclair in 2012 the above reflects a lot of Dwayne’s journey as a player and young man. In more recent times, 3rd Eye FC’s first club captain has renewed his relationship with Christ and is a prominent figure in his church, regularly sharing the ‘good news’ with his peers.
Where playing soccer professionally was his dominant passion, Dwayne has since reassessed his goals. He now has a keen focus in the area of entrepreneurship and is a business owner. His more recent exploits at AC Connecticut in USL 2 may be his last foray in the professional soccer arena. But who knows? With God all things are possible.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. In all thy getting, get understanding. – Proverbs 4:7
Dwayne enjoys the book of proverbs and has grown to love books on business and personal development. Maybe he’ll write a book in the future. Still the club’s captain, it’s vital that he continues to grow holistically as he leads his team on and off the field. The stage is set for Dwayne to Marshall his troops for the 2023 UPSL fall season.
The preparations of the heart belongs to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. Proverbs 16:1
